How We Use Your Information

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Countdown data you share via links is accessible to anyone with the link — this is intentional and required for the sharing feature to work.

We use the following third-party services:

Countdown data is stored until you delete it. When you delete a countdown, all associated data including photos and poll results is permanently removed from public view. If you uninstall the app, your anonymous ID is no longer linked to new activity.

Retention for Legal Compliance

Please note that as a hosting provider, we may be required by law to retain certain technical logs (such as IP addresses and timestamps) for a period of up to 2 years to assist judicial authorities if legally requested. This background information is kept separate from your active content and is only accessible under legal warrants.

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we send reminders about your countdowns (24 hours before, 1 hour before, and at the moment of the countdown). You can disable notifications at any time in your iOS Settings.

Children's Privacy

Awayt is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app collects no personal data by design.
